Commitment to Vendor Diversity
NMSDC Affiliation
Shortly after starting its’ business, IPW became a certified member of the NMSDC www.nmsdcus.org through the Rocky Mountain Minority Supplier Development Council. IPW is an active member of the NMSDC and several regional councils. We support the organizations and participate in events in each council. We appreciate the efforts of the NMSDC who believes as we do, that supporting Certified Minority Owned companies is good business and promotes opportunities for companies who are looking for opportunities to compete. Our world is changing and supporting minority owned organizations not only serves local communities, but by significantly reducing costs, actually helps Fortune 1000 companies compete on a global basis.
In October 2005, IPW was elected into the Corporate Plus® Program as part of NMSDC. Of the approximately 15,000 certified MBE’s in America, very few have obtained this distinction. The focus of Corporate Plus is to show that certain MBE's have earned this distinction by proving their capabilities in supporting National Corporations. The list of Corporate Plus members can be viewed at: http://www.nmsdcus.org/national_membership/cphover1.html
Commitment to Diversity
IPW’s early commitment to diversity in all aspects of its business has contributed greatly to its growth. Most of IPW’s approximately 200 employees are of minority descent, including managers and supervisors at the highest level of management. IPW’s headquarters and largest manufacturing facility is located in an enterprise zone in the Denver, Colorado area. IPW has fostered many relationships with MBE’s and spends close to 10% of its purchases with Certified MBE’s.
Community Involvement
Over our short history, we have made significant contributions to our community. Since our start in 1996 we have created hundreds of jobs, about 90% of these jobs are in our manufacturing operations.
IPW offers above industry average pay scale and a very generous benefit package including full medical coverage, matching 401K and profit sharing plans.
IPW headquarters and largest manufacturing operation is located in an enterprise zone on north east side of Denver. The majority of our manufacturing employees have either a very short commute or they live within walking distance to IPW. IPW has provided a stable place of employment in our community. We have also offered educational assistance to deserving employees interested in continuing their education.
IPW also helps community service organizations with financial aid as well as printing supplies, including The Bridge Project and Warlick Alternative School to mention just a few. IPW is making a positive impact in our communities.
