Environmental Benefits

IPW is recycling over one million pounds of non-degradable solid waste every year into useful products. We are committed to the reuse and recycling of virtually every component from toner cartridges. We have developed extensive processes, procedures and treatments to save our precious natural resources while providing economical alternatives to the consumers of imaging supplies.

All used toner cartridges received at Image Projections West are carefully inspected for component damage or wear. Our special air cushion and pulp molded end cap type of packaging is designed to prevent shipping damage.

Our specially developed procedures and treatments allow us to re-utilize many components. These include our developer sleeve and PCR cleaning processes and carona assembly high precision ultrasonic cleaning method.

The components and products that are damaged beyond our quality acceptance criteria are sorted by type and are sent for recycling when applicable. IPW is continually exploring new methods and applications for recycling of plastic housings and other small components. Metal components such as photo conductor drum and developer sleeves (aluminum) are also recycled.

We also recycle all the corrugated packaging material received with the cartridges and the countless pages of print generated by our life testing labs.
